Affordable housing development in final phase

(RECAP: A $20 million apartment complex geared toward low- to moderate income individuals is nearing completion. The Humanities Foundation has broken ground on the second phase of the Puddledock Place apartment complex. In August 2013, the non-profit housing developer started the two-phase project. The 84 two- and three-bedroom units that make up the first phase are slated to be complete by summer. Rents will range from $563 to $833. Rents in the second phase, a mix of 72 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, will range from $468 to $833.The apartments were financed using low-income housing tax credits, which are administered by VHDA.)
